    Here's something funny from my own life! A few days ago, I was talking to a German man about lederhosen, and he asked why English speakers use the German term instead of translating the word into "leather pants." I explained that lederhosen are a very specific type of garment, while leather pants "are something a rock star or model would wear."

    Then he puffed out his chest and said, "From now on, I will tell everyone I wear leather pants and not lederhosen!"
